Philosophy of Mathematics
I think the ability to use Mathematics to solve problems is vital to every individual, whether it be a child in grade school, or an adult in the private sector. Math is universal; it is the building block for all other science classes. The laws, theorems, and corollaries collected over the centuries reflect mankind's evolution of the understanding of the natural world. It is vital for people to know how to use mathematical principles to solve computational problems, which arise in everyday life. Being a mathematician, I have found my ability to break down problems into its most basic components allows not only for a deeper understanding of the problem, but also helps me logically reach a conclusion or resolution.
